Yes there it is! The Quadra 700 I won on Yahoo!Auctions when I put in what I thought was a low bid that would never win!
Going to plug it in through, something seems off...
Wait... That doesn't look like the motherboard of a Quadra 700???
Is that... a G3!?!?
As @RonsCompVids quickly figured out, it's a hackjob to fit a PowerMac 7100 into a Quadra 700 case! Upgraded to a PowerPC G3 processor...
Some had really fun building this thing!
The battery has been replaced at some point so it hasn't bombed (but reads 0V), but there is a lot of sadness around the capacitors.
The auction said the power LED turned on but I can't get it to do that (yes I used an ADB keyboard power button)…
[There was a photo of the logic board corrosion for that post but I appeared to have killed bitbang.social photo uploads with my nonstop posting as it will only fail with a 503 error now, so here's the caption only]
Photo caption: Close-up PowerMac 7100 motherboard with corrosion on the pins of the surface mount chips near some surface mount capacitors. Also visible is a CR2 3V Lithium 1/2AA barrel battery with Japanese print on it.
So I have new batteries on order as I believe the same as my IIcx the ADB boot circuit is actually powered by the clock battery (insane design).
If that doesn't work, it'll need a recap.
If that doesn't work due to the corrosion, I'll just repurpose the housing of this freak as a sick custom case for my Synology NAS, since I'm not exactly desecrating some precious virgin device here.
Here's that photo of the mobo corrosion around the leaky caps
