Hornet STRIKE! Missions 2.0 is a full 40 mission set for the Macintosh
F/A-18 Hornet 2.0 or 2.0.1 flight simulator*. The STRIKE! Missions include
28 new Kuwaiti theater missions, 6 new Arizona theater training missions
and 6 new Hawaiian theater training missions. In addition, your allies are
more aggressive and you will encounter new and more devious foes.
Required: F/A-18 Hornet 2.0/2.0.1 and a Mac to run it on (68030 or
better).
Are you familiar with the wingman in Hornet that circles his base,ignoring
the enemy while you get shot down? And when he does get involved, he only
pokes one Sidewinder at the Flankers? The wingman who says "Good shot" to
you when you shoot down an enemy fighter 40 nautical miles away from him?
WELL, HE JUST GOT SHIPPED OUT!
Introducing your NEW wingman, who ingresses with you straight into the
heart of Iraq, laughs in the jaws of death, spits in the face of danger,
takes four AMRAAM's and two Sidewinders with him on every mission, fires
Mavericks at air defenses, flies low, flies high, flies fast, flies slow,
uses afterburner, makes multiple bombing passes on targets, uses
Durandals, stays on your wing, and calls "Fox Four!" when you need it.
He's called Hornet Two, and he's just brought the rest of his squadron
into the fray...
In just some of the new STRIKE! Kuwait missions, you will:
Protect three B-52 bombers at high altitude in "Buff Protection," help
three A-10 Warthogs destroy the runways of an enemy air base with multiple
Durandal attacks in "Hog Handiwork," search for two SU-27 Flankers
somewhere in Iraq in "Flanker Fixit," lead a flight of seven Hornets off
the Carrier against a massive pumping station near Basrah in "Listen to
Reason," overfly the fleeing Iraqi tanks in "Basrah Escape," and inspired
by recent events in September, 1996 fly "Illuminating Rita" in
support of Air Force F-16's in the "No-Fly" zone.
The new training missions make you WORK for your qualifications. Land a
damaged Hornet on a carrier at night in "Carrier Night Quals," practice
advanced high-speed/low-level bombing runs with Hornets Two and Three on
Kahoolawe in "Low Leveler," and defend the honor of your Air Wing, with
Hornet Two, against two Air Force F-16's following strict rules of
engagement.
