Subject: Ira's Desktop Pictures - Sampler - Vol 1
This sample pack contains 3 images from each of my shareware desktop picture
collections. The images are at 640x480 resolution. This will allow you to
get a feeling for each group of images and to consider registering the full
collections which each contain 20 images.
About Aerial:
Desktop Pictures: Aerial was inspired by the stirring satellite and high
orbit photos that have become as common as the daily TV weather report. I
wasn¹t trying to illustrate the subject but to express a feeling: the
luminosity of our glowing planet enveloping jagged islands and great
mountain ranges.
About Aurora:
These images were inspired by the magnificent Hubble Space photographs.
Aurora is meant to express a sense of awe.
About Lightning:
300,000 volts per foot (1 million volts per meter) shooting through a
half-inch channel of air. The word "awesome" must have been coined watching
a lightning storm. These images are variations on the theme of lightning;
sort of the way a musician will explore a melody, seeing where it will go,
where it will take him/her.
About The Planets:
"The Planets" was inspired by the Mars mission.
Watching the spunky Sojourner rover disembark from the Pathfinder lander and
then successfully explore a rock strewn valley of Mars was just thrilling!
The Planets is meant to express something of that: the Music of the Spheres.

* Millions of colors preferred; thousands of colors will look good
Aerial and Lightning are available in the following monitor resolutions:
1024x768; 1152x870; 640x480; 800x600; 832x624
The Planets and Aurora are available in 832x624 resolution only.
